Angels4Animals - Programs
Program Guardian Angel
This
is the major program of Angels4Animals. First we establish
regional links with veterinary clinics across the United States. Veterinary
clinics and private pet owners then let us know when there is an animal
facing being euthanized or surrendered because of financial limitations.
This is where Program Guardian Angel comes in. Working together with
the clinic, we verify that the pet owner is unable to provide the funds
needed to save their sick or injured pet. We then work out the financial
arrangements with the clinic and authorize the treatment needed to save
the pet. The owner is never asked or allowed to reimburse Angels4Animals
for any of the money provided to save their animal.
The Lost & Found Program
Every
year hundreds of thousands of pets are lost in the United States alone.
Of these, the vast majority of them are unfortunately not found by their
owners. Many pets are often located, however, if pet tags are lost while
the animal is loose, they are often unable to be identified to their
rightful owner. Many of these pets end up in pounds, where more often
than not they are put to sleep if they go unclaimed.
In
order to help avoid this problem, tiny microchips are available for
dogs and cats that can help identify who the owners of lost pets are.
These microchips are safely and easily injected into pets and have an
operating life of over 25 years. Many pet owners that are limited by
financial constraints are often unable to afford such an important security
for their dog or cat. The Lost & Found Program of Angels4Animals
helps such owners by paying for the microchip installation at a veterinary
clinic.
